Manchester City distrusts Pep Guardiola and already thinks about his successor

After being eliminated from the Champions League, Manchester City has shifted its focus to the Premier League, but also to the future of Pep Guardiola. And there are those who believe that the Spanish coach should not continue much longer at the Etihad.

The Spanish portal Relevo wrote this Friday that the executives of Manchester City increasingly believe that Pep Guardiola may not continue at the club beyond 2024/25, the season in which the Spanish coach's current contract ends.

According to the same source, some executives of the English club are already preparing the club's future with or without Guardiola, although there is hope that he will renew his contract. Still, there are already names on the table for the Citizens.

Míchel, current coach of Girona, is one of the possibilities to succeed his compatriot. Furthermore, the Catalan team is part of the City Group, which could facilitate a possible negotiation between the two parties.
