Former England international believes Manchester City can beat Real Madrid

Steve McManaman, a former England international who played for Manchester City and Real Madrid, expressed his confidence on Tuesday in Guardiola's team reaching the Champions League semi-finals.

"Now is when the Champions League that matters begins. Only the best teams remain. Manchester City are the big favourites. They are the current champions, the team in the best form and they have returned to the top of the Premier League," Steve McManaman began by saying, in statements to the Mirror, continuing.

"Real Madrid will be stronger next season. They have signed Bellingham, but when you look at the whole squad, Real Madrid are not as strong as Manchester City," explained the 52-year-old former England midfielder.
