A watch made with pieces from Ayrton Senna's Lotus is already selling out

From fighter jets to race cars. REC Watches, a Danish brand, is known for making watches from pieces of historical machines. And the truth is that we can consider the Lotus 97T one of the most iconic cars in Formula 1.
Driven by Ayrton Senna, this was the single-seater with which the Brazilian won his first victory in F1, precisely in Estoril. Now there is a watch with parts of this chassis, which will be produced in Switzerland in limited numbers.
Only 989 watches will be made for the whole world. Each copy, which has a design similar to the Lotus 97T, has reinforced aluminium from the single-seater driven by Ayrton Senna. The top glass is made of sapphire crystal and the strap is made of leather.
At the time of writing this article, there are still 69 units available, that is, 920 already have an owner waiting. The price of each watch is 2,956 euros.
