European Stocks Rise, Eyeing More Earnings
The main European stock exchanges were up today, awaiting the presentation of more business results in Europe and the United States.

At 8:50 am in Lisbon, the EuroStoxx 600 was advancing 0.10% to 508.24 points.
The London, Paris and Frankfurt stock exchanges rose 0.40%, 0.04% and 0.30%, while those in Madrid and Milan rose 0.03% and 0.14%, respectively.
After opening higher, the Lisbon stock exchange reversed the trend, and at 08:50, the main index, the PSI, was down 0.40% to 6,566.68 points.
Tuesday's session was one of generalized gains, both in Europe and in the United States, where Wall Street closed in the green, in anticipation of the results of large companies such as Tesla.
Although Tesla reduced its first-quarter profit by 55%, the automaker's shares rose more than 13% in after-hours trading, due to its plan to manufacture cheaper cars.
In the US, a new wave of results will be released today, namely from Meta, while the futures of the main Wall Street indices are expected to open in the green.
The Dow Jones closed up 0.69% to 38,503.69 points, against 39,807.37 points on March 28, a new high since it was created in 1986, and the Nasdaq advanced 0.64% to 15,696.64 points, against the new high of 16,442.20 points on April 11.
On the macroeconomic front, the market will await the publication of the Ifo business confidence index in Germany and the report on crude oil inventories from the International Energy Agency (IEA).
The barrel of Brent oil for delivery in June opened higher today, trading at 88.49 dollars on the Intercontinental Exchange Futures (ICE) in London, against 88.42 dollars on Tuesday.
In terms of exchange rates, the euro opened lower on the Frankfurt foreign exchange market, trading at 1.0690 dollars, against 1.0700 dollars in the previous session.
