Notícias Ilimitadas notifies AdC of the purchase of Global Media bonds
Notícias Ilimitadas, created to hold Global Media (GMG) titles such as JN and TSF, among others, notified the Competition Authority (AdC) about the operation on Thursday, an official source from the regulator confirmed today to Lusa.

Contacted by Lusa, an official source from AdC said that the notification of the operation was received on Thursday.
Given that it is an operation in the media area, the Competition Authority’s decision is preceded by a prior opinion from the Regulatory Authority for Social Communication (ERC).
The operation involves the purchase of Jornal de Notícias (JN), O Jogo, JN História, Notícias Magazine, Evasões and Volta do Mundo, as well as the majority of the capital of Sociedade Notícias Direct, and TSF.
On 27 March, the businessman Diogo Freitas confirmed to Lusa that he had left the management of Notícias Ilimitadas due to "strategic differences", but that he would remain as an investor.
"I gave up the management because there are strategic differences" and "I do not like to be an obstacle", explained, at the time, Diogo Freitas, a businessman who led a group of investors to purchase some newspapers and magazines from Global Media and TSF.
The businessman, from Officetotal Food Brands, asserted that "there is no problem" with the business, but only a different vision that should be the best path for the group, stressing that he remains an investor.
The value of the operation is not known.
The agreement for the purchase of some Global Media titles was announced on 6 February and now awaits authorisation from the competent authorities.
