António Figueiredo, former Benfica leader, criticized this Friday the fans' whistles after the victory against Marseille (2-1), in a game of the first leg of the Europa League quarter-finals. In statements to Antena 1, the former leader of the eagles recalls that it is not possible to play well in all games and the recent history of the relationship between fans and coaches.

"Lately it has happened with all the coaches that have gone through Benfica. There has been a disagreement with the associative mass. It is not possible to win and play well in all games. These are behaviors that are not in line with Benfica fans. The behaviors that are in line with Benfica fans is exactly what happened yesterday and what the members and fans of Benfica did in relation to Mr. Eriksson", explained António Figueiredo, before showing himself optimistic about the European tie, which will be resolved next Thursday, in France.

"It is a victory and we will enter the second part of the tie with a goal advantage. In fact, at a certain point it seemed that Benfica could take the tie resolved. I believe that Benfica will pass the tie", concluded the former Benfica leader.
