Brent crude oil barrel price rises to $89.01
The price of a barrel of Brent oil for delivery in June closed today on the London futures market at $89.01, up 1.12% from the end of the previous day.

North Sea oil, the benchmark for Europe, stood at $88.02 per barrel, up $0.99 from the last trade on the international market.
The price of Brent rose throughout the session, with fears of a drop in demand after the United States released data on its economic performance today that was worse than expected.
The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of the world's leading economic power grew by 1.6% in the first quarter of the year, below the 2.2% forecast by analysts, after the 3.4% growth recorded in the last quarter of 2023.
