BYD can shock the market with this electric at 12,000 euros
Seagull could be launched in Europe at an almost unbeatable price.

In the coming months, BYD's small city car, the Seagull, promises to make a name for itself. Not only because of its arguments, but also because of the price at which it could reach the European market.
According to the Motor1 website, this electric car that offers around 250 kilometers of autonomy (WLTP cycle), could cost something like 12,000 euros in Italy. For Portugal, there is still no reference value, but it may not be far off, despite the higher national tax burden.
At 3.78 meters long, the BYD Seagull is one of the most compact cars on the market. Presented in 2023 in China, this small model from the Chinese brand features a design that BYD has already accustomed us to, both on the outside and on the inside. Inside, the highlights are the five-inch digital instrument panel and the 12.8-inch multimedia screen.
Equipped with a 75 hp electric motor, the LFP battery can be chosen by the customer: There is the 30.8 and the 38.8 kWh option. These batteries offer, respectively, a maximum of 250 and 300 kilometers of autonomy.
