Skoda presents prototype with 1,087 hp for Gran Turismo

Skoda has unveiled the Vision Gran Turismo, an all-electric concept car for PlayStation’s Gran Turismo 7, expanding the carmaker’s presence in the digital racing world.
Inspired by the 1957 Skoda 1100 OHC Spider, the all-wheel-drive, all-electric Skoda Vision Gran Turismo is powered by four electric motors, providing a monumental peak output of 800 kW (1,087 PS).
Maximum torque is 1,020 Nm, allowing for smooth acceleration via a single-speed transmission.
All-wheel drive actively optimizes torque distribution between the two axles for better cornering performance, ensuring a determined driving experience. The basis for the excellent dynamics is a push-rod type independent suspension similar to that used in Formula E.
As for the dynamic sound of the Skoda Vision Gran Turismo, it is a special creation of the Czech brand’s Development and Design team.
