Mercedes-AMG presents the brand's fastest model

It's the fastest production model from Mercedes-AMG. The GT 63 S E Performance Coupe is even faster than the AMG-One when it comes to acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h - it does it in 2.7 seconds. The new Mercedes plug-in hybrid has 815 hp of power in total and a maximum torque of 1,419 Nm.
Impressive figures that contrast with the electric range of this AMG GT 63 S E Performance Coupe. It's only 15 km in electric mode, but this is quickly explained. The electric system was designed to give even more power to the noble AMG V8 biturbo engine, which has 611 hp on its own. The electric motor has 201 hp.
The battery pack has only 6.1 kWh of capacity, but the main concern was not to include too much weight, in order to prioritize performance, of course.
And about the battery, Mercedes tells us that 560 individual cells have been optimized to undergo continuous charge and discharge cycles, with the aim that the electric motor can deliver its full power and digest up to 100 kW in regeneration.
The price is still unknown. However, the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E Performance Coupé should hit the roads by the end of this year.
