Nuno Espírito Santo furious with refereeing: "It's always against us"

Nuno Espírito Santo took advantage of Friday's press conference to preview the 35th round of the Premier League match between Nottingham Forest and Manchester City to reinforce the criticism directed at the refereeing in the 2-0 defeat to Everton.

"I still can't believe it, no matter how much I see it. I still can't believe the way the decision was made against us. I think the three penalties are very clear. We've talked about the bad decisions made against us before," began the Portuguese coach.

"It has a big impact, because points are lost, it's frustration, it's disappointment... It makes us feel like it's always against us. It's very difficult to deal with all these things and control these emotions," he continued.

"From the beginning, we have tried to ignore the noise and focus on our tasks, but these things keep happening, and it disturbs the preparation, the mentality, the focus... But our obligation is to put a stone on it and move on. That's what we're doing today, and we're ready for the game. Now, our reality is Manchester City," he added.
