Álvaro Djaló on the way to Athletic: "In 2025, we will have eleven black players"

Álvaro Djaló is officially the new addition to Athletic Bilbao for the next season, following a deal that may bring Sporting de Braga a financial gain of up to 20.5 million euros, and which is already generating enthusiasm in San Mamés.
In an interview given to the Friday edition of the Spanish newspaper As, Iñaki Williams did not hide his satisfaction with the Basque team's commitment to black players, and even revealed a joke that has already started to take hold in the dressing room of the Copa del Rey champions.
"In today's football, physique is very important. I always joke with my teammates, I tell them that, in 2025, we will be an entire eleven of black players. I am very satisfied and proud," he began by saying.
"Athletic has diversity, many families come to Euskadi to integrate and for their children to have a better future. I am happy for black players to come, so that they can represent our colours," he continued.
"People feel very proud of the fact that the Williams brothers are in the main team. Thanks to that, we are crossing borders. People say 'Black people can be Basque'. I hope this legacy continues for many years," he added.
