Otávio Monteiro felt the need to resort to social media, this Thursday, regarding a controversial 'like' he left on a publication by Malcom, a player for Al Hilal, right after Al Nassr's defeat against its rival (2-1), in the access to the final of the Saudi Super Cup, guaranteeing that it was not intentional.

"Hello everyone. Accidentally, I 'liked' a publication by a friend of mine that I follow on Instagram [Malcom]", he started by writing.

"That 'like' was unintentional and I didn't notice at the time. I would never be able to 'like' a picture that disrespected me or my club", added the ex-FC Porto player.

"You know that I always give everything for Al Nassr and that I will do so until the end. Thank you for understanding and for your permanent support", completed the midfielder for Luís Castro's team.

It is worth remembering that the Riyadh derby, played in the United Arab Emirates, was also marked by the controversial expulsion of Cristiano Ronaldo due to an elbow on an opponent, in the final stretch of what was the 33rd consecutive victory for Rúben Neves' and Jorge Jesus' team.
