Rafael Leão continues to be the target of much criticism in Italy. After the elimination in the Europa League and AC Milan 'handing over' the title to their rivals Inter, the Portuguese international was targeted by Adriano Panatta, a former Italian tennis player, who even compares Leão with... Mario Balotelli.

"Without a head, you won't get anywhere. I've seen many athletes, including tennis players, who were not successful despite having a lot of talent. Leão looks like Balotelli," Panatta began by saying, in statements to Corriere della Sera, continuing.

"That attitude [against AS Roma] by Leão deserved to be slapped. It seems like he is doing us a favor to play football. He earns I don't know how many millions and it seems like he doesn't know what he's doing there. A champion doesn't do these things: either he's not a champion or he's not intelligent," concluded the former Spanish tennis player.
