Renault revenue up 1.8% to 11,707 million in the 1st quarter
Renault billed 11.707 million euros in the first quarter, 1.8% more than in the homologous period, but discounting the negative effect of the devaluation of currencies like the Argentine peso and the Turkish lira, the increase represents 5.9%.

The French group revealed this Tuesday, in a statement, that between January and March it sold 549,099 vehicles worldwide, 2.6% more than in the same months of last year, reporting revenues of 10,446 million euros for its automobile division.
The turnover of that division fell 0.7% in gross data due to the devaluation effect of major currencies for the brand's business - Argentina and Turkey - which subtracted 447 million euros, but in comparable data it increased 3.6%.
This progression was due, first of all, to what Renault calls a "commercial policy focused on increasing value and prices" to offset exchange rate losses.
Thus, sales to individuals, which offer greater profitability, represented 66% of the total and sales of hybrids and electrics together represented 48% for the Renault brand, eight percentage points more than a year earlier.
However, purely electric vehicles represented 10.5% of the Renault brand in the first quarter of the year, when in the same period of the previous year they weighed 11%.
The French group's financial director, Thierry Pieton, said that the percentage of electric vehicles will increase in the rest of the year thanks to the launch of new models. In total, the company has 10 launches scheduled until the end of 2024 for all types of engines.
