On April 23, the Faro Public Security Police (PSP) carried out a monitoring and inspection action at Gago Coutinho Airport, targeting the TVDE activity. This resulted in five violations, and the corresponding reports were drawn up.
However, in a statement that Notícias ao Minuto had access to, the PSP reveals that "violations continue to be identified in these operations specifically dedicated to TVDE" and that, during the year of 2023 "and only with regard to Gago Coutinho Airport, 60 violations were penalized".
Therefore, the operations will be especially intensified throughout the upcoming summer period, at the airport and other cities under the jurisdiction of the district command.
In the same missive, the PSP recommends that all drivers who are dedicated to this activity of individual passenger transport in unmarked vehicles, "fully respect the applicable legal regulations, both when carrying out their activity at the airport and in other locations in the Algarve".
