Portuguese marines participate in multinational exercise
Exercise takes place on the border between Lithuania and Poland.

A Portuguese marine force is taking part in a multinational exercise that starts this Sunday, April 21st.
In a press release, the Portuguese Navy explains that the exercise 'Brave Griffin 24/II' is organized by Lithuania and Poland and will take place "on the border between the two countries".
More specifically, the exercise will take place in the "Suwalki corridor" and will last all week, "involving more than 1,500 soldiers, including the Portuguese soldiers".
"The 'Brave Griffin 24/II' will serve to test defensive scenarios and tactics and will also include the participation of the United States of America. The Marine Force, on a mission in Lithuania, is composed of 146 soldiers, commanded by Lieutenant Captain Nuno Correia Marques", concludes the press release.
