After the iPhone, the European Commission "shoots" at the iPad
Apple tablets will also be covered by the Digital Markets Act rules

Following an investigation by the European Commission, the body has decided that the iPad operating system, iPadOS, should be subject to the same Digital Markets Act rules that govern iOS.
“The [European] Commission has concluded that iPadOS constitutes a gatekeeper for business users reaching consumers and that Apple enjoys a strong and durable position in the market for iPadOS,” the European Commission said in a statement.
The European body has therefore told Apple it has six months to comply with the Digital Markets Act obligations.
These include allowing users to download apps from third-party app stores, and allowing users to choose alternative web browsers to Safari.
