Gardunha Literary Festival takes place in Fundão until Sunday
The Gardunha Literary Festival, in Fundão, takes place from Wednesday to Sunday and has as its theme "The Place of the House", the name of a poem by Eugénio de Andrade, born in the municipality.

The event has activities planned in various locations and parishes of Fundão and the program includes different initiatives.
"Dozens of writers and essayists will gather in Fundão, in an initiative that will also include concerts, theater, exhibitions, workshops, storytelling sessions, performances and 'workshops'", the municipality informed today, in a statement sent to the Lusa agency.
On Wednesday, the book "Louvado seja o pesadelo", by Paulo Faria, is presented, followed by a concert, while at night, at 9:30 pm, the show "Cantigas de maio" takes place in the Octógono concert hall.
The Book Fair, at the Eugénio de Andrade Municipal Library, opens on Thursday at 9:30 am, at the location where the exhibitions "Crónica de uma revolução", by José Vilhena, and "Personagens literárias", by MariUp, are on display.
During the day, the artistic workshop "Parece, mas não é" is scheduled, with the illustrator Carlo Giovani, the musical-theatrical show "Histórias de cantar", by the HarmoniArte Music School, a storytelling session, the presentation of the books "O velho da montanha", with Rute Cancela and Carlo Giovani, and "A desobediente: uma biografia de Maria Teresa Horta", with the presence of the author, Patrícia Reis.
On Friday, students and the educational community promote a poetic street performance, at 2:30 pm, and, at 5:00 pm, the poetic performance "arte sentada onde todos têm lugar" is scheduled, at the Praça do Município and Rua da Cale.
On Saturday, there are art workshops, talks moderated by authors, musical-theatrical shows, concerts, poetic meetings and book presentations.
At 10:30 am, there is a workshop for children, where they will be taught how to create a book, at 4:30 pm the book "Na terra dos outros", by Manuel Abrantes, is presented, and at 9:00 pm, at the Octógono, the show "Lisbon Poetry Orchestra" begins.
The last day begins with the literary walk, at 8:30 am, "Pelos trilhos de Eugénio de Andrade", which follows the route with the poet's name.
In the afternoon, the works "O dever de deslumbrar: biografia de Natália Correia", with Filipa Martins, "Amália -- ditadura e revolução, a história secreta", by Miguel Carvalho, are presented, and the Albano Martins 2024 Poetry Contest awards are given.
At 6:00 pm, the show "A liberdade tem asas", by Benita Prieto, Fernando Guerreiro and Pilar Puyana, takes place at the Eugénio de Andrade Library.
From Thursday to Saturday, the parallel program Festa da Palavra Nas Aldeias takes place, in eight parishes of the municipality of Fundão, in the district of Castelo Branco: Alcaide, Pêro Viseu, Lavacolhos, Alpedrinha, Fundão, Souto da Casa, Silvares and Barroca.
