Diogo Dalot gave an extensive interview to the Cronache di Spogliatoio podcast on Monday, in which, among other topics, he praised Cristiano Ronaldo, who was his teammate at Manchester United.

"I'll never forget the first moment I met him. He has incredible energy and is obsessed with improving, both at work and in life, such as in body, mind and family," began the Red Devils right-back.

The former FC Porto player also recalled a curious story involving Cristiano Ronaldo and the Argentine Garnacho, who looks up to the Al Nassr captain as his idol.

"Before a game against Real Sociedad, Garnacho went to Cristiano to ask if he could celebrate like him when he scored a goal. Cristiano turned around, tapped me on the shoulder and said, 'Did you hear that? He wants to celebrate like me! Shall we tell him yes?' For Garnacho, having lived moments alongside his idol must have been unique. He's a great talent, if he combines work and talent he can become one of the best in the world," continued Dalot.

Assuming he is "very excited" about the possible presence at Euro 2024, Diogo Dalot also praised Rafael Leão, with whom he shared a dressing room at AC Milan.

"I've known him since the juniors, when we faced each other in Portugal. I'm happy with his growth, he's a very good person. He has a thousand interests: he sings, follows fashion. And he has an infinite passion for football. When I think of him, his smile comes to mind. He's a guy who creates a positive atmosphere in the dressing room. I remember one time it snowed in Milan and he started a snowball fight. He's a great friend, there wasn't a single day when he didn't make me laugh," he concluded.
